SYNOPSIS
Following in the footsteps of the indigenous photographer Martín Chambi in thecommunities that he immortalized in his images, THUS SPOKE THE MOUNTAINS travels throughthe Cusco region in Peru, showing the ways of life of the Andean people, their worldview,religious syncretism and festivities.

He is the founder of HDPERÚ, a non-profit organization dedicated to the production of films in defense of the rights of indigenous peoples and the conservation of the environment in the Andes and the Peruvian Amazon. His cinematographic work has been presented at film festivals, museums, academic conferences and universities.
"Río Verde - El tiempo de los Yakurunas" explores the daily lives of three riverside families and was discussed in the panel "Our Amazon?: Mediated Claims to Ownership and Belonging in Amazonian Studies".
